Synopsis:
Filmed over ten years, this is the story of Alice, an unloved girl trapped in a young mother’s life. At 16, she falls in love with Dorian, 35 years her senior. Although she marries him and has their son, Aristo, the familiar echoes of her own neglected childhood resurface. In a family dynamic in which she is forced to become the sole provider, Alice resorts to live-chat sex work and puts aside her artistic aspirations, while battling her addiction. An unflinching portrait of transgenerational trauma, as Alice struggles to be present in Aristo’s life, follow her dreams, and find herself.

About director:
ISABELA VON TENT, having pursued studies in film directing and journalism, embarked on her professional journey in cinema, initially serving as an assistant director for national and international productions. Collaborating with esteemed figures in Romanian cinema, Isabela honed her skills and gained invaluable experience. It was her unique perspective on reality and an unwavering passion for storytelling that ignited her deep love for the art of documentary filmmaking. Isabela's debut in this genre came as a short documentary, which earned her the prestigious National Film Award.
