Synopsis:

A comedy with depth — a story that begins with laughter but leaves you questioning morality, corruption, nature, and community. In their signature style, the film brings to the forefront beloved characters such as Mitică, Aurica, the teacher, and Cornel — all set in an authentic cinematic landscape filmed in the Cotnari commune.

Mitică, the seemingly upright forest ranger, lives a double life between loyalty and greed. Around him, an entire rural world wavers between tradition and the temptation of money.
It’s a comedy with dramatic undertones, exploring themes of environment and life — told exactly as Romanians understand it: with bitter laughter and truths whispered from behind the fence.
