About director:
Adrian Titieni is a renowned Romanian actor, director, screenwriter, and producer, active in both film and theater. Born on June 6, 1963, in Bistrița, Romania, he graduated in 1988 from the Institute of Theatrical Arts and Cinematography. His film debut was in 1984 with Pas în doi. He later gained recognition for his roles in Colivia (2009), Bacalaureat (2016), and Ilegitim (2016). He has performed on the stages of "Odeon" and "I.L. Caragiale" National Theaters in Bucharest. Titieni is also a university professor and currently serves as rector at the National University of Theatre and Film “I.L. Caragiale”. In 2016, he won the Bayard Award for Best Actor at the Namur International Francophone Film Festival and the Silver Hugo at the Chicago International Film Festival. He also received the Gopo Award for Best Actor in 2012. He was married to actress Adriana Irimescu, and they have two children: Marc and Ariadna.
