In a small town in Romania, several teenagers learn how to get by without their parents, who have left the country to work abroad. Forced to grow up too soon, they form their own family in a desperate attempt to fill the void. At the center of it all is Flavia, a strong young woman accustomed to hiding her emotions behind sarcasm. Will her care for others lead her to discover a new purpose?

Tudor Cristian Jurgiu is a Romanian film director and screenwriter. His short In the Fishbowl won third prize in Cannes Cinefondation, and his debut feature The Japanese Dog premiered at San Sebastian.
