Adrian Nica is a young Romanian film director and cinematographer, born in Piatra-Neamț on September 15, 1992, and part of the new wave of independent Romanian cinema. He made his debut as a teenager, showing an early passion for visual storytelling and cinematic imagery. Shaped by the creative environment of Cluj-Napoca, Adrian Nica stands out for his authentic, naturalistic style and his ability to blend humor with social reflection.
His feature film “The Forest Is Mine” is a moral and ecological comedy that mixes satire with deeper themes such as corruption, humanity’s relationship with nature, and the dilemmas of rural communities. Told with empathy and rhythm, the film captures the life of a forest ranger torn between loyalty and greed, painting a vivid portrait of contemporary rural life. Beyond directing, Adrian Nica is also involved in educational projects for young actors and filmmakers, promoting a sincere and accessible approach to cinema. With his fresh and human perspective, Nica is emerging as one of the most promising voices of Romania’s new generation of filmmakers.
