Synopsis:
Plastic Semiotic: The average life of human beings—from birth to old age—is represented by children's toys. Barbie dolls, plastic dinosaurs, and model cars are assembled to recreate life's inevitabilities, including holidays, traffic jams, and death.
8 postcards from Utopia: A found-footage documentary assembled exclusively out of post-socialist Romanian advertisements. By bringing together these documents of Romania's long transition period, the film speaks about life, love and death, the body and human frailty, nature and the supernatural, recent history, and, of course, society.
